Hope y'all doin' well. I've been battling Internet connection issue and thus struggling to post.

I almost forgot about the iconic graffiti laneways scattered around the city. This one was actually freshly painted - the artist was wrapping up just as we took these shots. Part of the fun is actually finding little hidden messages within. Sadly, I only have a few days remaining, but I will endeavour to hunt down a few more graffiti laneways and collage it out for all to see.

These shots were taken on Friday, I just love dressing down sequins for day time and with my new Marant’s – it wasn’t too much of a challenge.  I can foresee that this skirt and sneakers  are ‘’till death do us part’ items.  Anyways, signing off. ..post soon.

These are some of the photos from my exploration of the Arab quarter in Singapore. If you haven't been before, I do recommend this. It is a step away from the usual clean, air conditioned shopping centres into a vibrant pocket of Singapore, full of  character and old world charm. Here, all five of your senses will be touched, especially that of smell with the scent of sweet grape shisha lingering while I spent the afternoon weaving in and out of the little stores that sold everything from Persian carpets, perfumes, bicycles, antiques and home wares to jewellery and souvenirs.

Here's my guide to the Arab quarter below. Although all the shops are unique, and I would encourage you to visit each store down Haji Lane, Arab Street, Bussorah Street and Kandahar Street, I have short listed my favourites...

Nosh...

Coffee, brunch and sandwiches at Maison Ikkoku
Dessert at Fika Swedish Cafe
Turkish coffee and mezze at Cafe le Caire
Open air food market at Mustcat street (follow the crowd and the Mosque)
Lebanese at Beirut Grill
Cocktails at Bar Stories
Cocktails at Maison Ikkoku
Fusion dishes at Bushra Cafe

Shop...

Home wares at Salad Shop & Shop Wonderland
Lifestyle, Clothing and Jewellery at Hide & Seek
Vintage and Antique at World Savage
Books and Lifestyle at Soon Lee
Cool bikes at tokyobike
Men's wear at Maison Ikkoku
Optical at Define Happiness Sunglass Shop

Experience...

Shisha at any of the Turkish teashops
Manicure and Pedicure at The Nail Artelier
Museum showcasing the history of Singapore Malays at Malay Heritage Centre

Tip...

The shops here are open until late (10pm), and naturally, most will start later... I would recommend that you start the day after lunch and during the weekdays as some of the boutiques are by appointments only during the weekend.

As part of the Audi Fashion Festival week, Blueprint is a fashion trade show presenting emerging and cult designers from around the world (although this year, it was quite regional). Few friends and I decided to check it out and see what treasures we could find. I picked up an awesome printed shirt from a favourite French brand, while my friends picked up everything from leather card holders to jewellery. In Singapore, there are not many (flea) markets around (I'm betting the weather may be a factor). This event was the closest to a market in the time I've been here and those of you who knows me, know how much I love my markets.  Wherever I travel, I painstakingly hunt the markets to find the best trinkets. They make the best souvenirs and there's nothing more special than a piece of furnishing with a travel story behind it.

On me: I'm into everything embellished at the moment, hence the earring and the sweater. I've always love sweaters, it's comfortable and a staple in most wardrobes. This one from Sass & Bide was the perfect catch - it's light cotton (perfect for me to survive the heat) and the embellishment and cut out shoulders work perfectly don't you think? Oh, my sunnies (a while ago, but kinda forgotten about them) were from Maison Martin Margiela's first collaboration with Cutler & Gross. I always love detail, and these glasses with their geometric wrong size lenses was definitely love at first sight.
